Douglas Murray's recent book, Neo Conservatism: Why We Need It is a defence of the most controversial political philosophy of our era. Douglas Murray takes a fresh look at the movement that replaced Great-Society liberalism, helped Ronald Reagan bring down the Wall, and provided the intellectual rationale for the Bush administration's War on Terror. While others are blaming it for foreign policy failures and, more extremely, attacking it as a Jewish cabal, Murray argues that the West needs Neo-conservatism more than ever. In addition to explaining what Neo conservatism is and where it came from, he argues that this American-born response to the failed policies of the 1960s is the best approach to foreign affairs not only for the United States but also for Britain and the West as well. of the most controversial political philosophy of our age.

The whole debacle of the Little Green Balloons can be followed in great length on Meryl's blog here.

The Community Security Trust report mentioned can be found on their website here. I found the comments at Harry's Place interesting too.

President Chirac's indiscreet comments have also been widely reported.

Meryl Yourish is giving us birth control tips. "Pull Out Now!". She borrows liberally from Age of Hooper for her clips and many of these can be found (if you have the stomach) here.

Mayors are for making the buses and trains run on time. At a push they should promote the city to foreign investment. Declaring that Israel should never have been created is not part of the job description.

Damian Penny is taking a break.

Laurence Simon is done. For now.

This week, Brian of London interviews an IDF reserve paratrooper on his return from fighting Hezb'allah in Lebanon. They talk about what it is like to face these terrorists on the ground in their territory. There has been a huge jump in the quality of their weapons and tactics and this caused real problems for the IDF. Oh, and it is true, the IDF have tried using Llamas. Listen for the details and why the soldiers in Lebanon feel like ducks and llamas.

Blognews is short this week but does manage to mention Robert Spencer of Jihadwatch, you can find a link here

We have our usual contributions from both Meryl Yourish and Laurence Simon who can both be contacted via their own blogs.

This week, Tom Paine interviews Brian of London, Meryl Yourish shares her hate-mail bag with us. It's not very nice. Damian Penny managed to find something to thank Mel Gibson for and Laurence Simon is talking about toilets and terrorists.

Blognews speaks about Sunday's terrible day for Israel something of which you can find at Friends of Micronesia. IsraellyCool has the Llama story, including pictures, and Little Green Footballs is all over dodgy Reuters Photos.

In this week's feature interview, Tom Paine and I discuss what it is like to be a Jew in London. What will happen in 20 years time when the country is run by the people growing up with the current news coverage from the BBC and the so-called quality papers.
